A Cape Cod Artist Retreat and Rejuvenation Center

Welcome to Oestara House, an artist and musician retreat!

Oestara House, located in Brewster, Massachusetts, takes its name from the English deity whose feast was celebrated at the time of the spring equinox. Oestara celebrates vitality, rebirth, and creative energy. As an artists’ retreat, Oestara House offers time, space, and fellowship to experienced and emerging artists in contemporary music, visual, and literary arts. As a restorative retreat, Oestara provides a tranquil and private setting with easy access to the cleanest ponds in all of Massachusetts as well as bay beaches and bike trails. The property also backs up to hundreds of acres of conversation trails and lands know as The Punkhorn.

The main house is a three bedroom log home. The common areas are spaces to work on music. There is a baby grand piano, several amplifiers, and a small PA system. There is  ample room for work in several of the common areas, as well as a large wrap-around porch. The second floor of the main house has two guest bedrooms and a loft area, a lending library, and a shared full bath. Bedroom One has a queen bed and Bedroom Two is dorm style with three single beds.

The cottage is a separate one-bedroom unit with a queen bed, a limited kitchen (no stove), toaster, coffee/tea maker, refrigerator,  and a full bathroom with a tub.
